La Paz is the highest capital city in the world at 3,640m above sea level! If the altitude doesn’t, then walking uphill everywhere will certainly make you short of breath! It can take a few days for your body to adjust to the higher climate and the cooler evenings. From Cholitas (traditional Bolivian women) in Charlie Chaplin inspired bowler hats, to llama fetuses hung up in the witches market, La Paz is a truly unique city to experience.
